Solarus has invested in a new voice mail system that can deliver a more advanced set of voice messaging features.
Our
voice mail guarantees that you won’t miss a call—if you are away from
home, on the phone, or just don’t feel like answering right now.
How Will This Affect Me?
Beginning November 12, 2009 your new voice mailbox will be activated and your old box will be unavailable.
What Will Change?
You will need to dial the voice mail administration number 818-1010
or toll free 877-818-6245 and record a new mailbox greeting. Initially,
your password to access voice mail will be 0000 (4 zeroes). The system
will require you to change your password during initial log-in. Please
refer to the User Guide below for instructions to change your password, record your greeting, check messages and access your voice mail online.
What Will Remain The Same?
As before you will continue to get the same great features from your
voice mail service and Solarus can now offer additional features to
help you stay connected in exciting new ways!
What Additional Features Are Available?
E-forward – Voice mail messages can be sent to your email address.
Pager or Phone Notification – You can be alerted when important messages are left.
Message Forwarding – Forward messages to other voice mail customers.
Web Portal – Access your phone records and voice mail messages online! Voice mail can be sent to your email address.

From a different phone:
Dial toll free 1-877-818-6245.
Enter your 10-digit mailbox number.
Enter your password and then #. Initially, your password to access voice mail will be 0000 (4 zeroes).
RECORD YOUR GREETING
Access your voice mailbox.
Press 9 for the mailbox setup menu.
Press 1 for greeting options.
Press 4 to record your greeting.
Record your greeting and then press #.
Press 2 to keep your greeting.
CHANGE YOUR PASSWORD
Access your voice mailbox
Press 9 for the mailbox setup menu.
Press 2 to change your password.
Enter your new password and then press #.
When prompted to verify the password, enter it again and then press #.
RETRIEVE MESSAGES
Access your voice mailbox.
Your
first new message may play immediately. If not, press 1 to listen to
your messages. You will hear the announcement “You have x new messages
and x saved messages.”
Press 1 to listen to new messages.
Press 2 to listen to saved messages.
RETRIEVING MESSAGE OPTIONS
Press 1 Play the message again. Press 2 Save the message and play the next. Press 3 Delete the message and play the next. Press 4 Save the message as new. Press 5 Reply to the message. Press 6 Forward the message to another mailbox. Press 7 Skip backward in the message. Press 8 To pause the message. Press 9 To skip forward in the message.
MAIN MENU OPTIONS
Press 1 Message retrieval. Press 3 Send message. Press 7 Play date and time. Press 9 Mailbox setup. Press 0 Help.
Pressing * in the main menu takes you back to the sign-in menu.
ACCESS YOUR VOICE MAIL FROM YOUR EMAIL
Check your E-Mail as you normally would.
When
you get a voice mail message, you will receive an email from ‘YOUR
TELEPHONE’ delivered right to your inbox. The message will have an
attachment.
Open the attachment and your media player will play the message.
If desired, save the attachment on your PC.
Follow the links in the message to save or delete the message from the Voice Mail system.
WEB PORTAL
Use a browser to go to: http://apmax.solarus.net/Portal/PortalPage.html
Enter your user name. Your user name is always your 10 digit telephone number.
Enter your password. Your default password is 0000 (4 zeroes).
For security reasons Solarus recommends you change your password.
